WELCOME TO FUNDAMENTALS CHILDCARE

Based in Bicester Oxfordshire the nursery name Fundamentals, is new, although the nursery has been operating for over 28 years. It has recently been refurbished to a very high standard and continues to offer a warm, intimate, and caring environment in which your child will thrive.

We are proud of our family teaching approach which enables children of all ages to learn from and support each other, gently helping them to become aware of their place in the world and the wealth of exciting things to learn.

We provide a challenging learning environment where children can thrive with dignity, respect and love and understanding.

We welcome families to come and pay us a visit to see for yourself the wonderful start your child will receive at Fundamentals. We would be pleased to discuss personally any requirements for your child or alternatively contact us below.

We offer care from 6 months to school age and our long serving staff members are all diploma qualified to level 3 or above. The teams wealth of experience and diversity strongly supports thesuccessful delivery of Fundamentals ethos.

The learning resources are so innovative the nursery has a lovely Reggio appraoch encouraging children to be independent and partake in a range of rich learning oppertunities. I visit many early years provisions as part of my roleand I have never been so blown away by this wonderful setting...as a local parent fo 2 young childeren, and a previous early years inspector and nursey director myself for a setting not local I would very highly recommend to prospective parents and parents to little ones!

I can not fault Fundamentals at all. My little girl started when it was still outset, Sonja and Ann took over in December 2017 and it has become even better. Loads of things for the children to do/play with. They do their best to ensure they get loads of fresh air during the day. The food is fab, my daughter eats more for them than she does for me 10/10.

I would definitely recommend Fundamentals. What makes it so special is that all the children different ages are together. There is no division for age groups, that is what I love about it. In my opinion children segregated have no one to follow/copy. My daughter loves following older children and copying what they do. Fundamentals is the only one in the area that I know of that integrate the different ages together. They have a newly refurbished safe baby area too were the older ones are welcome and can interact with them under adult supervision. It has a unique lay out and principles that make it stand out.

As parents we loved it as outset but you guys have done absolute wonders, its still got the homely feel due its size and the warm and caring staff but is much slicker, brighter, all signing, all dancing now! Ill always recommend Fundamentals to people as I cant rate the level of care and environment enough. And we cant thank you guys enough for looking after our child and nurturing her the way you have done. Its so important and comforting for a parent to know how well their child is being taken care of when they are at work and how well they are developing into a strong, sociable, independent lovely little lady!

Our daughter has attended Fundamentals for almost 3 years. She absolutely loves it there. We have seen continuous improvements in her development and she surprises us every day. She is always excited to attend and comes out with a spring in her step! The staff are brilliant. Our daughter is always speaking about them away from nursery. They are always really friendly and informative on pick up and drop off. During the pandemic, they supported all parents with changes and restrictions and were very flexible in their approach. Which helped us massively. We can not thank them enough for their support and development of our daughter.

OPENING HOURS

We are open, Monday to Friday for 51 weeks of the year.
The nursery closes for one week at Christmas and bank holidays respectively.
